The Portable Train Detector Kit includes the Portable Train Detector, the Personal Alert Device (PAD), and the Portable Warning Horn & Light (PWLH). This system is used to alert track work crews of an approaching train. We offer Portable Train Detectors for both ballasted rail and embedded track. The Portable Train Detectors for ballasted track are magnetically mounted to the rail at the limits of the work zone. The embedded track detector is offered with a tripod or safety cone mounting options. The system can alert work crews on occupied or adjacent tracks. The system is used as a secondary warning to add a layer of safety to existing agency’s procedures.
